Initial Consultation
Your initial consultation, by telephone or online, is free of charge and carries no obligation to begin counselling.
Counselling Sessions
After the initial free consultation, all counselling sessions last approximately 50 minutes and cost £50. Fees are reviewed annually, usually in September. Home visits may be available, with the fee agreed in advance.
Payment should be made on the day of your appointment. You are welcome to pay by cash, bank transfer (BACS), debit or credit card.
Cancellations and Missed Appointments
I understand that circumstances sometimes change and appointments cannot always be kept. If you need to cancel or rearrange a session, please give at least 24 hours’ notice whenever possible. This gives me a reasonable opportunity to offer the appointment to another client, and you will not be charged for the cancelled session.
Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice will normally remain payable, as will appointments missed without notice. Time will already have been reserved for you, and I may also have completed preparation before the session. This policy helps me manage my practice fairly and keep my fees as reasonable as possible.
In the rare event that I need to cancel, I will give you as much notice as possible and make every effort to offer a suitable alternative appointment.
